Overview

Timani is a local-first personal journal app. Your privacy is absolute: the app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data We Collect

None.

Timani does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, or crash reports. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, and no network requests.

Data Stored on Your Device

All data you create in Timani — photos, notes, mood check-ins, and timestamps — is stored exclusively in your device's local application storage. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not accessible to us or any third party
• Is not backed up to any cloud service by this app (system-level operating system backups, such as Google Drive auto-backup, may include this data based on your personal device configuration)
• Is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app

Permissions

Timani requests the following device permissions:

• Camera — to capture photos for memory entries. Used only when you explicitly tap the camera button.
• Photo Library / Media Storage — to let you select existing photos from your gallery for memory entries.

No other permissions are requested or required.

Third-Party Services

Timani does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

The app uses the following open-source libraries, none of which collect data:

• Flutter (UI framework)
• Hive (local database)
• Google Fonts (bundled locally within the app asset package and loaded entirely offline, no network requests are made)

Data Retention, Deletion, and Security

• Data Retention and Deletion: Because your data is stored entirely locally on your device, we do not retain, store, or manage your personal data on any external servers. You have complete control over your information and can permanently delete all data at any time by clearing the app cache or uninstalling the application from your device.
• Secure Data Handling: All local data is stored within the secure, isolated application storage (sandboxing) provided by the mobile operating system, ensuring third-party applications cannot access your entries.

Account and Data Deletion

Timani does not use online accounts. Since all data is stored exclusively on your local device, you can delete all your data instantly and permanently at any time by clearing the app's storage/cache in your device settings or by uninstalling the application.

Children's Privacy

Timani does not collect any data from any users, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Given that the app collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
